ABOUT METeacher and ArtistEmily Elliott is an art educator with over twenty years of experience. She considers herself a teacher first and an art specialist second. Her passion for teaching does not end at her classroom door. Teaching is her art practice. And as such the change in circumstance brought about by the pandemic, forced her and others, to find new and creative means of collaboration. It is this type of problem solving and participatory making that drives her practice. As a practicing artist she works across disciplines and has a focus in fiber art and drawing. While working with her students, she experiments alongside them to learn as they do and learn from their experience as they do from hers. Emily holds a B.S. in Art Education from Kutztown University and an MFA in Socially Engaged Art from Moore College of Art and Design. |
